I want everything I do with CharliiesTRUTH, my coaching practice, and my life– to be done intentionally. Recently, I spent a week away from work in order to find clarity and sit myself in God’s presence so that I could rest in His peace.
During my week off, I did more of what made me happy– I prayed, listened to God, journaled, created, and begin to read Joseph Prince’s recent book, Live The Let-Go Life. That book has so many gems. It spoke to an area of my life that I had been working on and developing in; understanding and establishing that peace has to be within you (within your heart) and not dependent on external circumstances. As I read his book I learned more about righteousness and what it meant to be established in righteousness.
By the end of my week off, I had a whole new feeling within my soul. I felt different, my walk was different, my attitude was different, I had peace within myself, and I felt renewed.
I was unbothered.
I was grounded.
And I understood what freedom meant in this season, for me.
I really felt –BOLD AF.
I had been using the term “BOLD” as a way to describe my coaching program’s intended results and how I wanted my life to look and feel. But as I read Joseph Prince’s book and bible verses I started to realize the correlation between boldness and righteousness.
I am now committed to live in my purpose in boldness & righteousness… here’s why:
RIGHTEOUSNESS
I am righteous because of what Jesus completed at the cross and my faith in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21 holds that, God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God (boldface mine). I am not righteous by doing good—it is not my own actions that allow me the opportunity to be made righteous. Knowing who and how my righteousness is established gives me the confident assurance to rest in God’s peace.
Therefore, I can be free from worry, stress, and anxiety.
Reference:
Matthew 6:33: “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things will be added to you.”
The kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. So, if I seek the kingdom of God… all these things (life’s necessities and such) will be added to me (can we say ABUNDANCE??). *insert praise dance*
AND
Isaiah 54:14 states that “In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you.”
BOLDNESS
With faith in God, I am righteous through Christ.
In Proverbs 28:1, the Holy Spirit says that the righteous are bold as a lion. Then, Ephesians 3:12 (ESV) says that our key is Jesus, “in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.” (boldface mine) To the degree that I am established in Christ’s righteousness, I manifest boldness, as bold as a lion.
So with my faith in Christ, not only do I have righteousness, but I have boldness too. See Visual:
FAITH + TRUST IN GOD = RIGHTEOUSNESS
RIGHTEOUSNESS (–> translates to –>) BOLDNESS [TO STAND FOR GOD]
CONCLUSION
Having Faith and Trust in God, empowers us. Faith in Christ allows me to confidently walk in my purpose with boldness & righteousness. And since my life coach practice is being born out of my YES to God, I will be doing it …
In righteousness & boldness,
xx
Charliie
